He would be fine as long as no one wised up to the fact that the crash testing was done on the coupes. He also has the chance to do a Show/Display title limiting him to 2500 miles a year. Also, you can import it as a 'race only' vehicle provided you can get Nissan to send a letter stating it was built for race purposes only.
With the 'race only' option, you don't have to go through an importer, just through customs and fill out a little bit of paperwork. The other 2 options must go through an importer, and I think there are only a few importers that will do the necessary conversions to a Nissan Skyline to get it to a legal status.
Getting a Skyline here isn't easy or cheap(if you do it the legal way), if it was everyone would be rolling in one.
