Well, there are Japanese cars available to purchase in America you know.Honda, Toyota, and Nissan all have American divisions to sell cars through.

Just because we live in North America, does not mean we all drive only Chevy's and Fords.

The only good Japanese RWD sedans in the US are expensive...as in Infinitis, and Lexus's. That is why he is referring to American sedans...

There was no need to post this in two forums.

79-82 Malibu would be a interesting drift car , decent power and tons of aftermartket support for malibus that run the 1/4 mi

take a 80 malibu , graft a montecarlo ss nose cone to it and run a 3.8 turbo v6 from a buick gran national , would be good to run all the suspension from a gran national also

79-83 ford fairmount would also make a good drift car , all 5.0 mustang parts literaly bolt up to it , beatter balance than the malibu too . run a 2.3 turbo 4cyl from a 88 t-bird turbo coupe , 5 speed from the same turbo coupe and round it out with all the suspenion bits from a 1993 cobra

bad part is boath cars are ugly as sin comapred to anything japan made

How about <gasp> an F-Body? V8, plenty of power, RWD...I won't begin with the downsides though..

:slap Let's not resort to name calling just because he posted again although I do agree it's annoying. Geez people.

A lot of you are naming two door cars, which would work, but are not 4-door vehicles. RWD, 4-door American made cars GM, Ford, Chrysler, are hard to come by these days. How about an Impala SS, yes the RWD version with the LT1. That's a big heavy car, as I suspect all of them will be.

Yeah, I forgot about he 4 doors requirement...but you did remind me of some 4 doors that might work.

Ford Crown VicMercury Grand MarquisLincoln TowncarChevy Caprice with police package (basically the Impala SS without any of the prettiness)

I didn't know the Crown Vic was RWD...hmmm guess ya learn something everyday. Guess I never cared to know because as a general rule I could care less about large cars like that, especially domestic. Oddly they love them in Japan for some reason. I guess for the same reason some people love that ugly 240 thing over here in the states. j/k :D I couldn't imagine drifting the cars you listed, they would rock like a mofo and eat tires 10X faster then any light weight 240. But like I said earlier, that's about it in the Domestic (USA that is) in the 4-door RWD category besides some rarities.

I loved my '84 and '87 Caprice Classic. I would love to get them back and try drifting. You could beat the hell out of the car and it would take the punishment. The 305 was bullet proof. It had to be to put up with me in highschool.
