a search and the fsm aren't helping me much here, my CA has a vaccuum dist. thing below the intake manifold with 4 vaccuum nipple. they cut my hoses off but you can tell they were black with colors on them, one is red, one is blue, one is yellow, and one is missing entirely. I have no clue where these go. Furthermore, there are two vaccuum tees off the line that goes between my compressor and my wastegate, again, no clue what they are for. All the vaccuum sources seem to be plugged in except for the boost control thing, which I left with no vaccuum lines. I plan on bypass/capping the tees on the wastegate, but what should I do about the ones under the intake manifold? where do they go, and do I need them? I'm guessing they are for stuff like the carbon canister and stuff, but I don't even have that stuff anymore. Can anyone show me a vaccuum routing chart for the ca18det? or tell me what page it is on in the fsm that is available for download from zilvia.net? I can't find it. thanks, andrew

Dont really mind those..best way:

1. butterfly controller thingy Tee's into the FPR that goes into the back of the plenum

2. the one behind the throttle cable thing should hook up to your boost gauge and BOV.

3. the one directly under the TB plate. plug up!

the hardpipes toward the back of the manifold are useless and you should remove them.

4 turbo housing hooked to waste gate actuator.

HMM I think my butterfly control thing is already plugged in, but I haven't located the other two behind and under the throttle body yet. I think that those two have some cut off vaccuum lines coming from them on my car so I'll have to follow those to see where they are coming from. And the hardlines I can just crimp closed (or probably just U two pieces of vaccuum line to them?)

I read on the FAQ that the hardlines control the intake butterflies, so they might be important.

If you want to control the intake butter fly just use a T connector and hook the intake butterfly ..
