4.5 ECU to run a 4.1, possible? been done?

has anyone here ever tried, or heard of anyone running a later 4.1 on an early 4.5 loom and ECU.

I seem to remember reading on freshalloy about someone using early ignition parts on a later engine, but can't find it, or remember enough to try it at this stage

any insight?

I'ev got a G50 Q45 ECU that I intend to test out on my JDM VH41DE later this year. I don't hold high hopes for it to work, but you never know, perhaps the only difference will be the eeprom.
