4-2-1 header/exhaust VS. 4-1 header

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Do you get more performance out of a 4-2-1 header/exhaust system compared to the one piece 4-1 header? I would think so because it would allow for more air flow thru the exhaust system, but i have no clue.

any ideas?

It doesn't allow more air through, the overall diameter is often about the same, and either way they are CAD-optimized for flow.

The supposed benefit of a 4-2-1 over a 4-1 is that the smaller secondaries avoid torque losses thanks to the slight increase in backpressure (and, therein, the scavenging effect at the exhaust ports).

The dyno sheets for either setup are hardly, if any, different, so it's a toss-up.
