mild steel...1 3/4 inch tubing .095 wall thckness i think im going with.. it agrees under formula drift specs and i want it to be legal for local events so i think thats the key. id like to tig it but time will be the big restraint. depending on time ill try to tig, but if not i can mig perfectly fine too.Logan76 wrote:looking nice, cage material? mig or tig?
http://www.drifting.com/Formula_Drift.php scroll down the page and read these rules. this is what i followed. im assuming these will fit into most local events as wellLogan76 wrote:Is that schedule 40? I don't know the equation to figure out the schedule of pipe off my head, I have a nice booklet at work with all sorts of equations and such, how to figure out the type of bearings your need etc. I wish I had a copy at home lol.
How many point cage must it be to certify for drift? I know Honda's need atleast a 8 point to break 10's at most tracks. I don't know much about cages though.
i highly doubt ill do that to this one. this will be full blown track car eventually. itl probly have the front bumper held on by zip ties or straps at that point.hbpignosePA wrote:sweet dude....
