3rd Row Seat removable?

I searched the forum and didn't get a related topic.
I have a 2015 Rogue SV with family package (3rd row seat). Going to have a long summer trip and wanted more cargo room.
Just wondering anyone here knows whether the 3rd row seat can be removed and put back without major work.
I did check the structure of it and looks like it's hinged at the front of the seats but doesn't have an obvious way of removing it.
Any input is appreciated.

just one question, why do you want to remove it if you can hide it?.

Thanks Roque One. I'll read through it.
@xtrailmty, it still uses up substantial cargo room even though it folds flat. It would have been nice if it could be removed and put back as needed with some kind of latch system. Plus I could access the spare tire area underneath (I have runflat tires so no spare tire).
