so i just picked my a/c up again for the third time. I swear i get a call from them every week about my brakes.

So far they have put a new hardware kit on the rear, new calipers on the front, and something about new rotors all around. and free pads.

so if you have a coupe and havent heard from the dealer then you might want to give them a call. you will know if your car has something to do with it. your brakes will be squeaky and grind.

I haven't had any calls about a recall on my 3.5. I called them right after i saw your post and my dealer said they haven't heard anything about a recall.

I havent been on the forums lately, so the last recall I know/heard of was the heat shield rattle from the 2.5s.

they werent refering to it as a recall but as something else. ill call them tomorrow and see what he was calling it. but i swear to you. NO LIE!!! they had to do all that work on my car. and they called me in to have it done. given i did work there for over three years so they let me in on all the little things. but there is something going on with the brakes. its NOT because of the way you drive them.

AND ITS NOT BS. ill call them tomorrow and get their technical term so when you all call your dealer you can tell them. hell if all else fails call GLENN nissan yourself and ask them. they are fixing it on all coupes they sold. number is 859-263-5020

Ya sounds like something personal for your car. Happens sometimes when dealerships get cars, that have defects when they test drive them, and sell them before they actually fix the defects. A recall to your brakes would be a safety hazard that the nissan would have contacted the entire northern hemisphere about. They can get big time sued for accidents like that.

I thought it was my aggressive driving style also, and coincidental enough that you made this post today, but my front right brake started grinding terribly today so I will be taking the car in tmr to get it checked. I have had the car for exactly a year now so im sure its just time. Sucks for you other guys who havent had the car long.

There is a difference between "recalls" and service bullitens..When they put in a reported problem in there database, it gives them a ##with a discription of what to look for, order,repair....If its not a safety issue most car companies handle repairs this way..

Taking the brakes off? Bring some caliper paint and kill 2 birds with one stone!

so if I have 8K miles and I squeak like a mofo that means I have to pay for it? or does it mean somethng is wrong with my car and they will just fix it. I drive on the highway 90% of the time. I dont break too often.

When I was at the dealership yesterday a lady with a sedan had this same problem. She had about 3k miles on hers, and they fixed it no questions and no problems. So to all of you with that same squeaky grindy problem, call up your dealer. The OP is right, this is a known issue.

I had told the dealership that mine squeaked too and they did a brake job on them, think they greased the calipers and cleaned the rotors. But a few weeks later they didnt squeak as much but there was a shuddery feel to the brakes everytime i slowed down, so the next time i went in for an oil change they machined my front rotors. They told me sometimes rust builds up on the rotors. Now they are nice and shiny.....but god damn if I ever knew I'd have so many ****ing issues wit this car I would've bought the accord coupe, cant deny their fit and finish is better but the A/C kills it in looks.
