I have a 3rd Generation 1992 Nissan Maxima SE. Ever since I bought this car back in 2003, I've had this irritating oil leak at the "Cam Angle" sensor that is leaking onto the radiator hose. I was very doubtful :nono: to work on this because, I've never messed with the "Angle Sensor" before. I was hoping if someone out there can walk me through this without having to offset the timing  on this vehicle. Will certainly appreciate some feedback, Thanks :wavey:

Problem is that seal you are talking about is a square cut o ring. Now what I can tell you is take a white out pen mark it as it sits then unbolt and remove cam angle sensor and then when you replace the square cut o ring put back in and place exactly as it came out and bolt it down.

Hey thanks for getting back with me. Like I said, I never messed with this Cam angle sensor before. So what your telling me is to Mark the position of that "One" bolt" where you actually move the cam angle sensor for adjustment, so after replacing the Square Gasket, the cam angle sensor will be in the same position it was in before I took it out ?

mark both bolts as there are two and then remove replace square cut seal and reinstall with the marks lined up on both bolts. Order and receive your square cut o ring from nissan before you take the angle sensor off.
