I've got a 1992 maxima that is drawing 2.5 amps with the key in the off position. I found 2 relays that are staying on under the hood: start relay and engine cont. Any ideas? I checked the 12v ign. line at the stereo and it's off with the key, as it should be.

ThanksScott

I should add that when I pull those 2 relays, the current at the battery does go to zero.

You still have a current draw somewhere. Regardless of pulling relays or not you should have power at the battery itself. Whit the key off, start tracing back to find the drain. Disconnect all stereo and aftermarket products while doing this.

These are never fun
