3rd Gear

I have a 95 240 and yesterday i was racing a prelude and beat em but noticed that my 3rd gear is extremly slow compared to 1st and 2nd. I was just wondering if other ppl experience the same thing.

has that ever happened before? maybe you shifted into third too early?

nah it just seems alot slower than the all the others

That is odd. I have found that 3rd gear in most Nissans were its strongest gear. At least in my friends s13, my 350z, and the Spec V that I had before I got the Z.

I have never driven a s14 yet though.

i know do u guys think something could be wrong? because after 3rd gear 4th picks up pretty good as well but out of all the gear 3rd is the slowest. My check engine lite is also on and i was told it was the 02 sensor so i changed it and reseted the ecu and the light is still on donno what else to do .

I have felt the same thing once in a race with a mustang i was right with him 1st 2nd then in 3rd he pulled a bit but 4th we wher right back together

i went to the machnic today about the CEL and he told me that it could be the speed sensor. he turned off the CEL and said that it'll come back on when im driving but it hasn't turned on yet hopefully the problems fixed

your racing a honda which is all top end a 240s 3rd doesnt compare to a hondas.

For me 1st is CRAP! 2nd and 3rd are ok, but my 4th seems to really pull.

My s14 is the EXACT same. My 4th gear owns you all :rockon

But seriously, 4th gear for me in very smooth, and pulls really hard compared to all my others

mmm yes 4th gear power makes me drool. yet.. 3rd pulls hard also.. and first SUCKS my buttocks
