Small grind when changing to 3rd and 4th gears, if I hold clutch for a few seconds b4 shift, it's fine, also higher rpm's makes worst, experienced bent fork prob. in mazda truck b4 and sorta reminds me of that (bcause only those two gears), high rpm's in 1st, 2nd, and 5th gear change is fine. Any ideas where to start or what to feel for when driving will be appreciated.

I would start with the simple things first of checking your fluid lvl and bleeding the system from both points, if that doesn't fix it then start looking a the possibility of a bent clutch fork or new pivot ball. I would also replace the transmission fluid with redline mt90 it does a good job of fixing small grinding issues.

if its all the gears you probably need to change the transmission fluid, get some mt-90 and you should feel a difference.

If its really bad between 2 gears (4->5 usually) then its likely a syhcro as they are known to go. Nissan acknowledged this and they changed the transmission in 1998 i think it was, to have new synchros.

+1 on synchros being an issue its known to happen with our trannys mt90 as others mentioned might cure it as its had good reviews on helping with this kind of issue
