Question,I didn't know 3pc. wheels have a 'gasket'.What exactly is this? If they are damaged how would I go about repairing them?

I'm asking is because I plan on purchasing a set of wheels from a fellow Nico member and its been stated that I need to repair this gasket. But I don't know how..Would a regular tire shop be able to repair this?Prices?

Heres a pic of the wheels:

Thanks in advance guys.

There is no gasket... wtf? The wheel is composed of 3 parts. Inner and outer barrel which is held together at the face. Unless he means the lip on either the inner or outer barrel where they are joined is damaged... The silicone skit on the outside is nothing more than a sealant.

some wheels have gaskets, you don't really need it. bolt wheel together, smear silicone sealant in the seam, done.

if your gonna spend the money on volks... i'd by a set without problems. Just my opinion... It seems like its gonna be a hassel.

My friend tried fixing something on his 3pc volks and it took him forever and a 2 hr drive to find a shop that would work on them.

**** your right, wow i just woke up when i wrote that and that slipped, my bad...

anyway, either way work or volk, i think you understood what i meant.

My friend took them to a specialty wheel shop... i dont remember the name, sorry. That was 2 years ago or something. They had to order the gasket from overseas... but i dont think its necessary, but its the proper way to do it.
