Has anyone gotten it for their versa? It is on my list of things to get for the car and I just wanted to hear what you guys and gals think.

I will be on the Turnpike for 90% of my drive so pebbles will be a bother.

Wow I've never heard of that stuff before, do they make kits for the Versa yet?

I got mine done at the dealer when I bought the V in Feb. Front hood (20%) + side mirrors.

Paid like $300 for it.

I don't have it yet. I'm going to touch up the chips I got from the thruway (there's at least 10-15 of them) and then I'm getting it for sure.

Yes they do make it for the Versa. I have it on my other car and love it. Protection factor is high. The only downside is that it does get looking scratched up a bit. This has been on the care for over 2 years. I just use a detail wax on it and it is good as new.

Thanks for the heads up on the prices and quality. I will keep this on my list. I know that any car on the NJ Turnpike will take on a lot of pebbles.

I found a kit that covers the bumpers, hood, lights, and mirrors. I think I will go with that kit.

In case anyone else is looking for these for their Versa, these guys sell all the different pieces, so you can check and see what the options are before you get them.

if i'm not mistaken, versas are equipped in 3M protective film as standard on front and rear bumpers...at least mine is, and it actually suprised me that my car has it. i wanted to get me a kit of 3M, but after checking bumpers for stone chips, i noticed layers of it on bumpers. it's kinda cool ,but i will still have to get it on my hood though.

I can't comment on 3M but I suggest you check out

They have 3 dealers in New York which you can lookup on the website.

A friend of mine opened a ClearBra business in Oregon in 2001. He switched to this product around 2002/2003 timeframe. I've seen the product and it is indeed much better than the ClearBra he originally installed on my car in 2001 before switching. I was happy with the original product he used but VentureShield is clearly better: almost invisible and more resistant to yellowing.

I have it on mine but it certainly cost quite a bit. I'd consider a DIY kit, which is significantly cheaper, but keep in mind the fact that the amateur ones usually turn out pretty badly - much in the same way self-tints do.

The dealer put something on my car, it was labled as a "Bug Shield" and I got them to drop it off the price. I drove from orlando on the back roads, about 150 miles south west and my car was CAKED with bugs. Unhappy...

But then I went driving around town, maybe 45-50 mph, in a pretty heavy rain, when I got out of it, not a bug on any part of the bug shield anymore, some left on the windshield, but the car itself was spotless.

Pretty awesome side effect, it works the same way when I wash it, just a little higher pressure water and the bugs flake right off.

Thank you very much for the link and the heads up.

Yeah I would want to have it installed by a professional so that I can get a warentee on it. Maybe some tints too.
