Ask to look at a few cars that they've done so you're OK with the look. Ask to see a car that has had it installed for a while - like a year - to see what it looks like after its been battered with debris and exposed to sunlight. I did a lot of research on this for my car and honestly they're not as "invisible" as they claim. Also, they absorb the damage instead of the paint and over time their appearance deteriorates because of this. I supposed you can spend another $500 or so and get it redone, but I wouldn't plan on it lasting for the life of the car.

For $500 you can have your front bumper painted better than Infiniti painted it! I would prefer repainting the front bumper rather than covering it with a film that could yellow over time.Plus if you have chips in the bumper already (I'm sure you and everyone else does already) why place a clear cover over damaged paint??
