I have been doing a good amount of highway driving recently and would like to protect the front end of my altima. I was wondering if anyone here on nico has put the 3M bra on their car, how much it ran them for the product and install, if it looks good, and any other comments about it. Thanks!

I've never installed it on any of my cars but I have seen it installed on others and I'll have to say that it was good product. The important thing is to find a installer who's installed it a couple of times

A friend of mine had it done to his new Jetta 2.0T. Cost depends on how far up you want to go. I think my friend did it half way up his hood, and it cost him ~200?

Make sure you talk to an installer and confirm that the clear bra will not yellow over time (similar to how our clear vinyl in front of the back wheels yellow...). It's pretty unnoticeable after you install it. You just have to make sure to clear the wax build up along the edges to make it as seamless as possible. Definitely a good investment if you do a lot of highway driving...

i do this for a living, it is great stuff. it repells rocks up to 130 mph and price depends on (kits) not how far you want to go, how we do it at work is like a hood fender and mirr kit, then there is a bumper kit, rockers ect.there can also be custom stuff done but it cost a little bit more. but when i tell you it worth it i mean it,

When I had my windows tinted I asked the shop for a quote on the clear bra since they install those to. They said for the full kit across the front including the headlights it ran about $800 installed; for that I'll just get it repainted If I still have the car when it needs it (I tend to roll-over cars every 2 years or so it seems).

I got hood, fenders, mirrors, and bumper for 550 CDN. Its nice stuff though, well worth the money.

Although you can repaint your front end for the price, it saves time from dropping off the car at the shop. The shop will usually never do a paint job as good as the factory.

I have the nose, hood, fenders and mirrors done to the G and it ran about $900 installed with a 5-year warranty.

Good thing to as the nose of my car would be peppered black at this point. There are a couple of small areas where it's not covered and they show black when the paint gets nicked. Horrible thing on a white car

I have a Winter Frost 2011 Coupe. Will the 3M clear bra be real noticeable against the white. I drive about a 1,000 miles a week and need to find a way to minimize the bugs and nicks beginning to appear on the front end. I find myself washing the car everyday which in a years time would be a small fortune and I'm still getting nicks. The vinyl bra is not an option since it looks awful.

I've put it on my car multiple times. The clear coat on my stillen side skirts has been peeling and I decided to wait till summer to have it resprayed so I put some of that clear bra on. The biggest piece i put was probably only 12" by 8". It was very easy to put on, but patience and lots of liquid is the key. I used some of that magic glass cleaner or whatever that cleaner is called that is in the aerosol can.

When I get a new car I will probably put it on the front bumper. If you do it right you wont notice it at all.

I notice it more on black vehicles than my white one, although if the black vehicle is freshly waxed it blends quite well. The problem with it on my white coupe is the edges can get dirty underneath. I've had to have the edges trimmed by the installer once since installation.
