If the exhuast is made for your car. It will fit just fine. My buddy with a 3 inch Rocket exhuast made by greddy or hks, forgot which, installed just fine on stock cat. Mines a 2.5 from BRM and it fits fine... even when I put in a high flow it fit just fine.

so here's the ? you posted in my thread...

the answer is that the flanges should be the same size on your cat and your cat back. the diameter for the pipe is the only thing that is different (if at all, as some cat-backs have a smaller inlet just for matching up with the cat). so you can have a 2" cat outlet butted up to a 3" pipe inlet for the rest of the system. sure there'll be some turbulence at the connection, but it won't make a big difference.

My bro had his 1990 240sx Fastback equiped with HKS Hi-Power 80mm pipe catback.

If you're going for turbo, 3". N/A then either. I suggest you go with the 80mm pipe catback. More airflow, and SR ready

I have an HKS Hi-Power 80mm pipe catback on my hatch without any problems. With the stock cat still on.

What's your set up with the 80 mm HKS, do you have an SR, and does it sound deep?
