ok. So my question is, is the principle behind this supposed to be the new control arms correct the Ball joint Angle so taht you can crank your Torsion bars? if so... then the front lift all comes from torsion bars.... The control arms just correct the Ball Joint angles to keep em in spec.. And Also would a Add a leaf work on a 2wd PU as far as lift? Cause i realize the leafs go under the axle... i just didnt know... Thanks guys!!!

Couldn't you just shim the balljoints on the stock upper control arms instead of "investing"(spending/wasting) money on aftermarket ones?

I wouldn't do add-a-leafs. This adds even more weight to an already hefty setup. I don't like adding unsprung weight. Every pound of unsprung weight is like adding 10 pounds of sprung weight. To further this point, the stock springs are already good for a 1400 pound payload, and that's enough for 99.4% of mini-trucks.

You can get some longer shackles, or even make them yourself if you cant find them, all they are is steel plate. There are universal kits at most auto parts stores.

IDK about a spring-over conversion using 2wd springs, or else I would touch more on that topic.

You can have the springs re-arched as well, but thats alot of work getting them off. Alot more work than installing longer shackles.

Also, IDK about lift blocks for the leaf springs. I hear they can amplify the effects of axle wrap if you get too progressive (tall) with them. But an inch or so might not hurt.

Sorry I was so vague. I knew you meant the upper control arms, but I was saying, couldn't you shim the stock UCA's so as to correct the balljoint angle instead of spending money on aftermarket replacements.

Un-sprung weight is any of the total vehicle weight not supported by the supension. This includes; wheels and tires, all the brakes, the rear axle, the leaf springs themselves, the front control arms, front spindles, etc...
