Ive got my hks hi-power exhaust, and im building my motor and want a 3in all the way back exhaust.
Can i just cut the 2.55in pipe off and reweld 3in pipe onto the muffler with the same bends and everything?
I love the cans and dont wanna lose them wanting to make more power

why not sell your exhaust and get another one that's 3" to begin with?

if you run 3" pip into a 2.5" muffeler you gain nothing! the exhaust will only flow as much as the most restrictive aprt and for the highest restriction to be at the rear you'd have a real problem, the term bottle neck mean anything to you?

why do you want 3" exhaust? what size turbo's do you have? unless you are sporting a pair of T3's I'd say leave the pipes alone
