How the heck do you remove the bolt on the bottom of the high pressure power steering hose? Do you have to remove the half shaft and other things or is there a clever tool that will get in there?

I haven't had to touch my power steering system yet. Also, my Chilton guide is useless. It lists the steps but offers no pictures or details as to how to DO the steps. Sorry I can't be of more help. I really need to bite the bullet and buy a third gen FSM.

If you can wait until tomorrow morning, I'm actually dropping the sixth gen off at the dealer for an appointment tomorrow. I'll ask the service guy and see what he says.

Thanks!

The hose isnt spraying yet, just sort of gushing. With two bottles of ATF in the trunk, its manageable.

Well, the tech said there's no special tool. He said they just "make it fit." "It" meaning the wrench, and the hand holding it.

So basically, we need to find some children and stick them under the car. *sigh*

Oh well, thanks anyway.
