Sissy SR's cant produce torque like that hahahahaah

This was at 25psi on 100 octane, stock head, cams, gasket, headbolts. When I get some cams in it, it will be over 400 for sure.

Jay, quit posting pics of your slow car, nobody wants to see a 240 that's slower than my mom's minivan.

Besides everybody and their brother has an SR and makes 400+ ftlbs.

or do they...........

and at 94.7 degrees in Orlando no less. if that was the actual ambient temperature in the garage then imagine what she'll do at 50 degrees.

I'm sure his aftermarket pistons came with new rings.

You want even more throttle response? Underdrive that b**** :) and I agree the cams will help it breath SOOO much better, and give it a killer sound,

Huge fan of your car. 400 rwt?!?! thats insane, how could i not be impressed. no offense, only extreme amounts of praise. I also downloaded the video, was that an eclipse? cause i hope it was, with the way you smoked it and all.

oh... thanks man. I thought you were pissed at me for downing the SR or something. I love all Nissan engines as long as they are turbo! I just would much rather have a KA due to the torque, I have driven the CA and SR alike. There is no comparison in my eyes.

Thats awesome, I have always wanted to Turbo my KA and not just swap an engine in there. I agree with the "i love all nissan engines" but i cant stand it when people just commonly go off about how KA sucks and SR is the best ~ especially in Super Street. So how was the CA and the SR compared to your KA? Because hearing how much you like the KA makes me feel better about not swapping. like i have the money right now anyways....

Magazines have nothing but trash to say about the KA because it's what we got and the grass is always greener on the otherside. Turbo KAs are amazing.

I'm still in a huff on what to do. I want the SR because of the aftermarket support, but the KA kicks its *** in torque. Although, SRs have gotten up to 900hp, I've yet to see a KA break 500hp. I'm pretty sure that falls into the lack of aftermarket support. Does anyone make cam gears or a fuel rail for the KA? All I see for the KA is crap stuff (not all, the majority though).

The CA I drove with the stock turbo was smooth and it felt pretty fast. The boost was turned up to like 12psi or so and it fely nice. The SR was mine and I was running 9psi with no IC and the car went 14.2@98 with no LSD and street tires. It was a great car and tons of fun... especially because I owned it about 4 years ago, there was only 1 other car in all of Orlando with one. We used to pick on everyone, no one could keep up with us in an import back then. The KA is the only engine I have taken to an extreme, and all I can say is that I have driven a CA with a huge turbo and it's fast and smooth, kinda doesnt make you feel like your really hauling ***. My car on the other hand is a brutal, brash, unrefined, and flat out mean. Just like I like it, hehehe.

There was a KA that hit 545rwhp with NOS. The reason it has not gotten any higher is plain and simple... The engine has no history as a performance motor. If the Silvia's came with this motor stock, and top tuning companies had 15+ years to R&D this motor you would see hp levels as high or higher due to displacement. You can get cams, cam gears, and a fuel rail for the KA all from Jim Wolf Technologies. You can pretty much get eveything you need for the KA now except for an Aftermarket intake manifold, thats why I had one custom made.

thats cool. I'm thinking on going with a T78 or T88, not sure which. Mark at Titan is putting a T78 on his sr20 and a t88 on a built sr20 (the guys at titan that im friends with, jon and brian, told me about it). That's just plain nuts. I figured, if someone at Marks level of intelligence thinks its ok to put a t88 on a 2L engine, then it should be fine on mine. :) LOL. Does anyone know if Chris May's manifold (the one on his site that his friend makes) will fit a Greddy T78 on it? or is it a different flange?

actually i think it made alot more power than that. it was the silver turbo KA that (with the aid of nitrous) made a 1/4 time in the high 9 second range. the car was built in houston and it actually sucked pretty hard. wasnt put together to well. made power but just not the best way. CTC motorsports fixed it and thats when i rode in it. it was pretty nuts when i rode in it. 20psi on 100oct. fun stuff.
