Well I just made my last payment for my 07 35x lease. The car has been fantastic. Best car I have owned. Only had to do tires once, 2 sets of rear pads, and trans flush/ fill. I can keep it for $23,000 at 2.59% for 4 yrs. Or I can talk more to the sales guy who called me after I set my appointment to buy my car.

My car was pretty well maintained as far as oil, trans, brakes. It does have a few dings, and scratches and the rear bumper was scraped in the parking lot. The car was driven a lot, 77,500 on it now. I am also over miles by 25300, which would put me in around $5000 over miles if I turn it in an walk away, and the other minor things would prob a** another $1k.

So the sales guy said of course he would waive the miles and things. This is not looking at the car but on the phone. Not sure if it will get taken back yet. But his offer was 37x with same options and color for $650 per mo. Not bad seeing I was paying $799 on the 07 35x due to rolling in the previous ($10k) car I owed more than it worth.....arggg.

So here is my delema.

Keep the G with 78,000 and pay 2.59% over 4 yrs for $508 per month

or

New g37x 36 mo 15,000 lease at $650 per month ( that's without me even trying to get him down yet, just the initial I'm a sales guy call)

The car has been having an idle issue where the rpms drop, not at cruise but at lights and start up. The car will need a timing belt in the next 20k, will need all 4 rotors in 8-10k, tires in 15k. and who knows what could happen to it since its not under warranty now.

Am I taking too much of a chance with keeping the 35x? I mean in 4 years this car will have 180k if I keep driving like I do! lol

I think its pretty much a no brainier and take the 37 if that's what hes offing worst case at 650, if I can get it under 600 then its a deal.

Anyone go from the 35x to 37x and 100% agree it was a great move?

I just recently turned in my 2006 G35X lease to get a 2010 G37xS. I have zero regrets, Incredible Car. It was a no brainer for me especially given the warranty running out. I also had a few dings that were wiped out with my $500 forgivness money. To me given the amount of miles that you went over and there willing to give you a pass on that much miles, I would jump on a 2010.

I must say im going through gas like water but I have no regrets this car is a joy to drive.

Not a fan of leasing...how much to purchase?

If it's too much, I'd look into a used 07+ sedan or 08+ coupe.

I think the only way for them to eat up my 25k miles is a new lease. But I will see about a used 08 37. Either way I have a payment.

i would do a purchase on a new G37x. if you can get it, i would go for their 0% @ 36 month financing. your payments will be rather high, but not outrageous in comparison to a $650/mth lease on a new one. Plus you save over $2k in interest. The 2010 G is available with 0% AND the $1000 cash back incentive.

Not a fan either of leasing, but I would consider doing the G37X lease if it meant you didn't have to pay back the $6K....and take better care of it.

The only thing I don't like about the G37 is the 7 spd transmission. Shifts way too much!

G35 0-100 mph 3 gears G37 0-100 mph 5 gears

Still why not buy a 2010 G37? you put too many miles on a car to lease. I have a 07 G35 with 77k miles on it too and I still owe 19k. I pay $540 a month to own.

I'll keep it until I can afford a M56 or a Quattroporte

I test drove the 2010 G37 but decided to put another 100k miles on my 06 G35

I've never leased as I'm too cheap to have car payments every month.
With the mileage you put on you should probably purchase instead of leasing.
