What would YOU want?

I voted manual. I'm a firm believer that all sports cars should be manual.

I think the statistic's for the Z34 will be similar to the Z33, seems to me about 3/4 of all Z33 coupes are man trans, and about 3/4 of the convertibles are auto, people who want heavy slow convertibles liek auto's and people interested in performance adn the driving experience want a coupe and a manual trans

Driven both, if i had to own one it would b a six speed just cuz my firm belief that a REAL sports car should utilize the drivers left foot. But DANG! The 7 speed totally caught me off guard. . . never driven a Ferrari (with F1 paddles) but this is by far the closest ive come. Super responsive downshifts, perfect blip and rev match. 1st gear goes by way to fast, 2nd and third are decent, by fourth gear it starts to feel like a z33. All in all its an absolute advancement over any Nissan auto transmission ever made( cvt included lol).

7 speed auto might be interesting to try out, but in the long run the manual completely takes the cake. Driving auto gets boring so fast, and it doesn't even really matter what car you have. If you're a car enthusiast and want a sports car, manual is the only way to go IMO. I don't understand how anyone out there looking for a sports car for performance who knows how to drive manual would get an auto. Automatic just takes away the excitement of having such a sports car.

Don't know about that. The GT-R has an auto. So do almost all new Ferarri models. It just means those auto boxes are tuned for performance. Which Nissan's probably isn't (don't know, I have the 6 speed manual).

it's your car so do what you want, but why would you get a sport car and get an auto? That's like buying a hooker that hates having sex. Makes no sense whatsoever

Most of which has dual clutch/ sequential gearbox setup like f1's and rally cars and touring cars....etc. An autotragic Z has neither.
