drvivng through the So.Cal fires to get to the event. (not really)sorry for the blurry pics, I was really excited right at this point

Few things I found out about the new Z that you probably knew already.-The Z symbol on the front fenders now illuminated-steering wheel has perforations to avoid "sweaty hand syndrome"-19's all around, front and back-the manual transmission has a sport mode...Auto rev matching(not sure)-doesn't look like there is a rear wiper anymore-we get a glove compartment now.-no more strut bar in the back, but the trunk is much shallower now-rear fog lamp won't be in the U.S. model

There should be better pictures coming soon since I saw Albert (Solar Orange Z) taking pics with his fancy camera.

...miss me?

thanks for the pics and the info bmike. real glad to hear we dont get the "hemmoroid" (fog) light in the rear diffuser. still dont much care for the fangs in the grill opening either, but overall i like the new Z. did they crank them up? and does it still sound like the Z?

My Pics are coming soon... I'm uploading them as I type this.

One correction, there is a rear strut bar, however it's placed right behind the seats.

oh, and yes. The engine and exhaust sound great! Similar to the current Z, maybe a little more aggressive.

Nice! I really like the wheels. Is it weird that I like the head lights and tail lights on the red 370z but not on the blue or silver one? Thanks for the pics! I can hardly wait to see it in person.

Thanks for the pics upload! Some of my instant likes/dislikes.

Likes: ~ The overall old-school Z shape of the 370 vs the 350.~ New placement of the hazard button. ~ Addition of a true cupholder.~ Perfed steering wheel - long overdue!~ The white on black Aston Martin-style stitchwork.

Dislikes: ~ Those notches in the head & tail lamps - looks fuxored to me.~ Hate the new wheels. While I understand they are trying to echo the notch theme the same way the three dot theme was played throughout the 350, I like neither the notches nor the wheels that sport them.~ That giant whale shark mouth of a front grill. And what's with the fangs?~ The new instrument cluster has too modern a feel, especially considering the near-perfect, old-school look of the 370 and how good the old-school look of the the 350 cluster is.~ Those flat lips on the otherwise nice wide fenders. ~ New quarter "windows" - just when I thought nothing was as useless as the ones on the 350.

On the fence about:~ The rear end diffuser. And the foglight should be an option, even in the US.~T he leather console. ~ Lighted side emblems.~ Glove box. Owners that whined about the lack of, or location of, the storage compartments on the 350 should either buy a different car of stfu.~ Rear wiper delete.~ New strut bar size & location. The old one doesn't bother me much.

The mechanicals all look great and the specs look very promising. I'm left wondering what the addition of the 370 to the stable is going to do to the development of mods for the HR VQ platform. Looks like the middle child might get overlooked as usual.

Nice to have you back bmike. I still need to add you to my XBL list. We'll do some Gears2 and shred some locusts.
