Has anyone on here contacted Nissan USA (other than me) concerning the 370Z oil temp problems? Every auto magazine that tested the 370Z & Nismo 370Z indicated that the oil temps rose to possible problems highs when driven on the track or at highway sppeds for extended times. I am talking about temps over 250. Some of the magazine indicated that Nissan had ADDED an oil cooler to the vehicle before the magazine tested the vehicle. To me this indicates that Nissan is aware of the problem with oil temps. Also, in the latest issue of Nissan Sport Magazine, the editors have added information about an approved Nismo oil cooler available for purchase and installation by your dealer to work with your warrenty. This is further proof that Nissan is aware of this issue. When I contacted Nissan USA Customer Service, the individual indicated that there was no other complaints about the issue. If you are having this problem, please contact Nissan USA and let them know about it. I feel that this part should have been installed at the factory or at the dealership prior to sale FOR FREE, especially for a vehicle being hailed as the BEST Z ever. Even if Nissan won't provide the oil cooler for free, they should at lease provide it at a very low cost with free installation. What do 370Z owners on this site think?

I pesonally think it's a warranty device, if you are commuting there si no heat problem, if you are drivig the car hard it gets hot, therefore you are abusing the car and gives them an excuse to void the warranty

just my opinions i have nothign to back that up

and 250 isn't very hot, it's hot for coolant but not for oil, I have no idea what the ideal range for the Z is but for most cars 250 oil temp is the happy zone, oil is always hotter than coolant, as ti contacts friction surfaces, coolant only serves as a vehicle to transfer heat from the engine to the atmosphere
