this is what i found from the needforspeed link for xbox360

Three weeks prior to the Los Angeles Auto Show, Nissan has released images of the redesigned Z car. Official information will be released closer to media days, which start November 19th. For now, all we have is a photo.

We do know from its name that the engine displacement grows to 3.7-liters, like with the Infiniti G37. Along with more cubic inches, output is expected to climb from 305 horsepower closer to the G’s 330 horsepower. The transmission choices may be a six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic.

The redesigned Nissan 370Z goes on sale at Nissan dealers in early 2009. For those anxious for a test drive prior, the 370Z will be featured in the new Need For Speed Undercover video game, which goes on sale November 18 on myriad platforms.

Me too....I'm gonna hold out for the 2012 model which, if Nissan's past is any indicator, there will be a HP increase.

I have heard talk about how much better the 3.7 liter engine will take FI!!

We'll see.

I think the pictures look GREAT, except for the StarTrek Badge-looking taillights.

Well the article was saying the 370 will get a redisigned M/T with something like when you shift back it revs up the engine and there was couple of other specs.

It was saying no other company done this before. Pretty impressive. Change the whole Infiniti line and Nissan and 2 more weeks a GT-R spec V is out too.

Go Nissan Go.

That would be so nice if it did rev matching downshifts! I could see it getting easily confused though.

And the GTR Spec-V comes out in two weeks? wow! any specs yet?

Yeah something like rev match but some other things too because it is involving the traction controll too.

GT-R spec V debute in 2 weeks on Fuji Speedway , Nismo festival.

They saying 100 more hp, different exhaust, Changed ECU and raised turbo pressure. Some changes on the body to make it lighter and look a little different. Price expected to be almost double of the basic GT-R.

Also they are saying the 09 GT-R basic going to have a little more hp. 5-10 more and brakes going from Brembo to Nissan. Not sure if just nissan name on it like akebono does it or what. Saying better mpg and new colors. One would be the Storm White. Bigger gas tank.

Not sure what is true in this all but read it in 2 different languages.

Do you know if they have strenghtened the transmission or given it a regular manual? I have heard the one in the current GTR's is'nt holding up to well. rebuild after something like 15 launches?

And 100 more HP is going to crush the ZR1! Haha what languages did you read it in? Obviously english but the other?

I think that is all mistery. I just went to change my oil today and talked to them. The owner of the dealership got one GT-R and they just sold the other one. The thing is they already had in the car 2k. They launched it few times. The guy will get the full warranty as long as he is not modifying the car. Wheel changes ok as long as they do it and they approve it. Not because they want to rape the guy but they want to make sure he's got the right wheels and tires. WAs it in Hugarian and russian. I can't find the russian anymore(did not saved the site). Oh and they sold it for 107k Canadian.

the trans are failing because they are not a drag race trans its a road race trans. The launch control was an afterthought thats why it blows it. That trans is a f'ing beast when used the way it was intended.

Yeah no I know that. It wasn't built for being launched from 4000 RPM and a dead stop then to be dropped in gear and have all 4 tires hooking up. That cant be good for any car. BMW has the SMG trans in their M3 cars and it holds up just as well. same with Porsche.

Does anyone know what this switch is going to do? The picture is from the trunk of a 370Z.

well I can read two of the three positions. Off and then Diff. so something to do with the rear diff?

and yeah. If you cant heel toe or at least blip the throttle with your foot for downshifting you need to learn to drive again. It just takes even more of the fun out of driving a manual.

And did you get to look at the other pictures! I personally love the new design!

Yeah I like the new design a lot. It was a good decision from Nissan to go this way.

It sounds like the rev matching downshifts are not always on. it is turned on by a switch thats right beside the shifter. and the switch in the trunk is something for an Active diff.

The 370Z looks good. When somebody finally gets to sit in one, what is the rear visibility like? Looks like it may be poor to the rear quarters, and the spoiler is high so there may be a big blind patch directly aft. Does it have a backup camera?

Nissan has already stated launch control will not be available on the 2010 gt-r. They are tired of the warranty issues with the 09.

Yeap, And the current GT-R does 3.9 seconds 0-60 witouth the launch controll. So if they tune the car a little and do some magic they'll get it around 3.5 secs with no issue.

So everybody will be happy again.
