Hello, so I've been searching all over for a solution to gaining access to the hood pins on a Nissan 370Z sport, but couldn't find anything useful. I've tried pulling the hood latch cable with pliers but no success, the passenger side unlocks but the driver side is still locked. Also tried pushing the hood down while someone pulls the cable but nothing. Does anyone know if you can access the latch from underneath the car or through the wheel well? Any help is appreciated, need to do this oil change but can't pop the hood lol

The cable could have broke, or the end of the cable might have a plastic bit that goes to the latch that broke, or it could just be stuck, or it could be crooked. I think to get at it, you'll need to come up from underneath. You can try to poke around from the front bumper area, but you might have to removed the plastic bit underneath and come up from below the radiator. I read that you can send a coat hanger up into the latch area and wiggle that while messing with the rest of the latch stuff. Good luck and let us know how you managed to get it when you do get it.

Any solution on this yet? I've been hurting my head trying to figure out what may have caused this in the first place but came up kinda empty.

Is there any way you can get a borescope remotely close to where the problem is/may be? Maybe removing the fender line will give you a better, more direct angle.
