370Z Headlight Design

I am sure you all seen the front end pic leaked out from a Japanese magazine scan, of front facia of the 370Z.

I am not sure if I like those headlight housing so much. But at that time, I thought that scan is just a bogus:



Until I saw this (2009 Nissan Maxima)



HOLY ****. Looks like those headlights ARE going to end up on the 370Z!

Is that real? Not photoshpped? I don't get it. Why ruin a great design?! Don't they do market tests or something for these types of things? YUCK!

I'm going to give Nissan the benefit of a doubt. There's no way they would do that to the Z.

Looks like crap, doesnt flow very well. Theres no way im gonna upgrade to a Z that looks like a Audi TT from the 2000+ range, 2008 TTs are nice... thank you redesign! I wouldnt get into a car that looks like my wifes everyday driver, no offense to chicks that drive Z's as long as they know how to drive them.

OUCH, hope they really don't plan on selling that here in the US... the front bumper looks more along the lines of a Veyron design, but those lights do ruin it. I didn't plan on up dating to the 370 but now this is closing the deal and a big fat NO.....

Here's the rear------IF this IS going to be the rear, or anything like it, I am DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY not going to buy a 370Z. It looks like a Pontiac Solstice from behind.

I am sure that I am going to be chewed up for saying this... Please keep in mind that I owned an '04 with R and S-tuned Nismo parts and I currently own an 07 Nismo with after market parts..

I like the new design and I think that the headlights follow the lines of the car. I have also seen a few variations of the 370z and some variations look a little better with the new headlights.

Wow im really sad right now and ive seen previous z proto types and they looked like porche fakes. This is just terrible looking, thank god ima save my pennys and get a gt-r, no but really this z better be a performer.

I thought the 350Z had hideous headlights when ti came out, and nissan admitted to suign the Audi TT as inspiration when designing the Z33

Also, those headlights are just stupid. I hope whoever designed those got fired... it looks exactly like someone took a picture of a 350z in photoshop and just used the smudge tool on the current headlight setup. :/

That 400z looks similar to the new G37, in fact, it looks nearly identical except for the emblem on the back (Exhaust is slightly different as well).

the head lights that evil suggested are oh so very ugly... i mean they need stip the example car from the site and acid wash the ugly off it.

and i think that the 400z is probley the g but in jappan im probley wrong but it makes sense

Like it was said in the beetle juice movie.......strange and unusual! lol. I will give the Maxima credit though, I think the Max looks pretty good. I owned 3 Maximas myself. And the Hood reminds me of the 95 240sx Design with the wavy humps. I had one of them to

I think they're all touched up photos. Especially the Japanese magazine. They made fake 350Z's on the front covers all the time back in 2000-2001

I love the headlight design of the 370z, it makes it look so much more aggressive. That car is going to be amazing when it is released. Plus it has "Fangs", lol
