370Z ester oil recommended?

I just got my first oil change and the dealership stated that Nissan recommends ester oil for my Z. The oil change was $89 with the ester oil. Does anyone know how big a difference this oil makes?

Ester Oil? The Dealer told us to use only Mobil 1 when we bought the 370Z. You can buy a 5 qt. jug at Walmart for $25.

I'd ask what specific oil they intend to use

Nissan does have an ester oil themselves - but your safest bet is always following the owners manual
