I have a pretty much stock sr20 with header, dump, downpipe and a greddy boost controler with a T25. I want to push 14-15 psi when racing. can the Smic handle this much on a warm day? Also I'm installing a maxima vg maf and having my ecu tuned for it with a PROM. If the ecu is tuned to run more fuel at say 3000 rpm and up with the stock fuel pressure regulator, will it be able to handle the extra fuel ? or should I get a adjustable regulator and 550cc injectors to run that much boost safely? Also I'll be unpgrading to a gt28rs "knock off" ssautochrome turbo and a fmic this summer. anybody have one of the ssautochrome turbos? how bad are they really ?

Someone made a post a while back about how the SSAutochrome turbos weren't new. They were in fact remanufactured turbos. That was a while back so I'm sure if you searched well you might be able to find it.

The SS Autochrome turbos are hit and miss, 9 out of ten shafts are warped or the turbo is not properly balanced.... Stone racing I believe makes these turbos and they are a fairly new turbo manufacturer .... I wont say anything bad about them because my buddies SR runs great off of one of there hybrid T28's (I guess the 1 in 10) but I dont think i'd buy one.....

Check out some of the sponsor who are well known and better suited to handle your upgrade needs....

Finally sombody who actually has one!! I was begining to think no one actually ever bought one from them because everybody has somthing bad to say but nobodys actually used one. So you had a T25 previously? did yo have any prblems hooking up their turbo? Did you buy the one that came with a header for I think it was $425? or the one that just came with a flange and a oil line? Also did you buy a oil restrictor or use the stock metal oil and coolant lines? Its great to hear from someone whos actually put one on, any info on it would be great, Also hows the powerband compared to the T25?

It will run 14 - 15 PSI on stock injectors just fine.

When you upgrade the turbo you will need to upgrade injectors.

I would suggest getting a Z32 MAF and not the N60 MAF.

for 14-15psi i recommend a fmic cuz of heat issues. But it it runs fine with the smic then stick with that.

Please let me know more info on the ebay gt28rs, what kind of injectors are you using? How long have you been using it? Who did you buy it from on ebay? Any clearance issues. How different from stock? Sorry if it's a bit offtopic. I can't pm, sorry

Yeah I had the same questions about the turbo myself. I looked up the maf part number at it was the same as the turbo vg30 and the rb20det so I figured it should be able to handle the boost of the ebay gt28 turbo as well......I havent wired it up yet I'm going to do it today and then program my prom, I'll let you know how it works with my t25.Thanks for the info.

Mainly if you are tuning for a MAF, it would be best to just get a N62 Z32 MAF and not have to change later if you decide on bigger.
