i personally used -25% across the board for about a week. i just moved it to -26% across the board. car doesnt backfire as much but i did notice a drop in mpg with -25%. So just adjust this in the high and low throttle menu in the safc.

Mathematically speaking, the stock injectors are 270cc/min. In calculation, to imitate the stock air flow reading, you'll need to reduce the injector pulse by 37% (270 is 37% of 370). However, the ECU is tuned to run N/A, which would be around 14.7:1 ratio. Since you're turboing, you'll want to run more like 11.9-12.2:1, resulting in somewhere around 25-28% reduction in pulse.

The best thing you can do is hit it at aroud 25-28%, then go straight to the dyno (with wideband O2 testing) and tune it.

For idle speeds you can run it leaner, its under load and WOT where you really want to richen up the mixture. 11.9-12.2 is kind of rich for an idle mixture.

so ur saying that i could put the safc to -30 or 35% since i dont have my turbo on yet and still be fine since i am still NA? if it helps out on the mpg and is still safe, im game to try. i always read that b/w -25 and 27% was where it needed to stay...........

That's correct...for a turbo application, because it needs to be richer than N/A. I'd put it at 30%, then go to the dyno with wideband testing and pay for a half our or tune time. See what your AFR's are and tune accordingly.

Actually, lemme change that...

I'd wait to put the injectors or the SAFC in until I got my turbo stuffs. Then, I'd put it all together, put the SAFC at 28%, then drive carefully to the dyno and spend an hour on test/tune.
