370cc driveabilty

I think i got ripped off i bought a set of 370cc from eaby and they are a tanish purple color. wouldnt a car with 370cc injectors and no fuel control bog if you drove it, Cause i installed the injectors and the car shows no signs of running rich (smoke) except for it now has a little trouble idling and some back firing.

also how do you set the igniton timing are the marks 5 degrees each or what NEED help.

if you are back firing, it sounds like you are runnin lean, not rich, i could be wrong. Maybe you need to adjust timing also....

backfiring is from running rich.

far- do you have something to control the injectors? you cant just throw bigger injectors in and think it will run right.

the timing marks are 5 degrees apart. btdc is the second mark from the left. unplug the tps with the car running set the timing then plug the tps back in.

If you just added injectors, needs tuning or it will run rich and ull foul plugs. If you went turbo and put bigger injectors in, it will run better but still needs to be tuned.

thats what im saying ive got an afc but i haven't installed it yet and the car is running like normal with the 370's . im thinking either my fuel pump is dead, and its runnin at a low fuel pressure or these injectors are not 370cc

runs like normal? you siad it has a hard time idleing and backfires. thats not normal. my 370's pulled of an sr the same day were purple tops. there are also sr 370's that are a greyish color

i must have the gray ones any way there is no black smoke and the idle has cleared. up im gonna install a fuel pressure gauge and then i'll know whats up the car is runnin too perfect some thing is wrong. o yeah my turbo has an internal gate and its not connected so the car is not boosting thats why i was supriesed that the car wasn't breakin up when it was excelerating from the saposedly extra fuel. any body in NC near greesboro have a wideband .

Yea, somethings way wrong. It takes like -30% correction on the SAFC for me to get it to run normal on lo throttle...

yeah some thing was wrong alright. my fuel pump was shot. i change it today then i had this great idea why install that afc when i could hack my maf. so found a piece of exshaust pipe that was 2.75 inchs od drillled a whole in it and cut up my Maf and installed it using some duct tape just to test it , i retarded my timing and took it for a drive around the block. car drove perfectly and pulled NICELY so i was happy. i went back to the shop to permenaly mount the maf meter . As i was taking it off i dropped it and broke the little sensor on the side.! SMART!. now im back to square one and my car isnt running again F#&K. any one Have A MAF for sale.
