Just came back from our vacation in Vancouver BC and Banff Alberta. The car performed fine, mileage and quietness are first class. Seats are very comfy even driving for several hours in a row. The CVT performed fine in the mountains. In fact the lack of downshifts is certainly a benefit over traditional automatics. I have no complaints about the peppiness of the engine. Two adults and two kids plus luggage had no real impact on performance. On the way down it was very warm ( 40C in Kamloops) even with the AC on and going 100/110km still averaged 8.4l/100km. Managed to do better on the way back( no AC, less warm) about 7.4l/100k.(going 100/110 km/hr On some short trips going around 80/90 km/hr managed 6.5l.100k. On the downside, CVT rattle appears to be getting more noticeable and I also noticed the fuel gauge is not showing full anymore, when filling up (was fine until now)Also noticed a very annoying whistle going highway speeds, seems wind direction sensitive.Reading some of the posts about the CVT rattle ( plus my own experience)however have dampened my initial feelings about the Rogue. I just emailed my service manager to see if there are any updates on this.
