Ok - here is my dilemma. In about 3 weeks, I will have enough to buy 1 of 2 cars. I can either get a base 370 coupe with cloth, or a new 350 Roadster Touring with leather - both about $200 apart in price.

I was told by the dealer that the Touring Roadster has Bluetooth and satellite. I don't know for sure as I live in FL and the car is in MD. I would fly up to buy it. We will probably be going up there to buy my wife a Rogue SL 2WD for about $22K, so why not get mine there too.

I would really love Bluetooth as it would be handy to me and a convt to boot isn't bad here in FL. Only downside is it is white and lovebugs would be a major pain in the a$$ to deal with. It would be less likely to be stolen as it is heavy and the young punks out there who do that crap would love to take a 370 out I bet.

But the 370 with the push-button start and a glovebox is makes me lean that way.

So, what would you guys do? I would be happy either way. The wife doesn't care either way as it would be my car. Ideas? Does the convt really have bluetooth in it?

I would go with 370Z, but it is still expensive right now. I won't buy a 350Z roadster though, IMO those are ugly...

Question is do you want heated leather or cloth seats?

Bluetooth is optional. You can get Bluetooth with any good aftermarket receivers or navigation dvd receiver.

I had the same thoughts about a few weeks ago. Should I buy the new 370Z w/ sport package or get a 08 350Z Nismo.

I went and test drove the Nismo, but ended up buying an 08 350Z Enthusiast w/ 5K miles for $21K.

So you might get the 350z over the 370z cause it has bluetooth? I would choose between cars based on performance and price. I would rather have the new 370Z then the old 350z roadster.

Performance is not an issue with me. To me, either one will be driven the same way. As for price, I have them both down to about a $200 difference, so that doesn't matter.

Question - do you think someone would be more likely to steal the 370 over the 350? I ask because I travel 75% of the time. It will get alot of FL hwy miles on it. I stay at decent hotels when I travel. I am just tossed up on what to buy.

my vote is the 370 FTW!!! the new Z should be harder to steal with its new electronics. The convertible is heavy if you are looking for performance. Bluetooth comes standard in the Touring and GT trims 07 and up. Another point is that the 370Z should hold it's value more since it just came out

306hp for the 350Z with a heavier body

332hp for the 370Z with a lighter body

...with the top down the bluetooth would be worthless....plus the convertible can be broken in with a knife....that means insurance will be a little higher on the 350ZR

goodluck and let us know what you decide on...you have a good problem

Very true about the break-in. I had a Geo Tracker 15 yrs ago and I smoked back then. I had a meeting coming up so I stopped the night before and someone cut a window out and broke in to steal a new pack of cigarettes on the seat. "Hell, come wake my *** up and I will take your cheap *** to the store and buy you a pack - don't cut up my window to get in and steal it!" That's how I felt anyway!

You may have helped me decide it right there! That, and a local dealer has one I would like locally so I could save on the miles on it. I just heard that coupes are stolen more often than ragtops because they are lighter and folks like to steal them to joy ride/race.

My wife found a Cayman in IL for the same price, but with like 8K miles on it. I think the upkeep on a Cayman would run more than a Z.

Ok, please explain. I am old (40 in 6 mos) and out of the loop. How do I go about getting bluetooth through a radio? Would I be able to get it satellite ready? I want to have Sirius as well.

Someone have any examples of a radio I could put in that will let me play a cd and have Sirius work with it too? Would this screw up my warranty? Would the dealer have to do it?

Yes, you can get all those with aftermarket car in dash receiver + with navigation! It should not void the car's warranty. It requires professional installation though. You can get way better quality and sound from a good aftermarket radio than the Z oem radio.

a great place to learn more.

Bluetooth is a feature that comes in board of receiver or as a add on.

You need to watch for bluetooth ready, which means you need to buy the bluetooth adapter.

All you really need to do it buy a receiver that is bluetooth capable or bluetooth ready with a bluetooth adapter.

The aftermarket receiver will have a much better support for bluetooth than the oem.
