Can we swap 37 engine in a 2007 G35 Sedan auto?

interesting thought! I like the 24 more HP in the G37 but don't like the extra 2 gears.

Post pics if you do it and times from the dragstrip

I think the transmission controls would be the biggest issue if the same computer is watching the motor and transmission. I would guess it would be looking for the extra 2 gears. You would probably need to swap the ECU would all the wires line right up? Might be a lot of splicing and soldering if they didn't.

Otherwise why not?

In the end it may be much easier and cheaper to bore and stroke the VQ35HR and run a piggyback on the ECU to get you extra fuel for the extra cubes?
