This question is for those who have seen how it works and your thoughts on the possibily of adding this add on to one of the older
Rogue's. Is it possible without haveing to tear a bunch of stuff down?

I have not seen it but I downloaded the papers explaining out to do it.
And no, you will have to tear a lot of stuff from your Rogue to do it, and also drill a hole in the back to install the camera.

Or do what i did....Autozone has the Peak 2.5 wireless backup camera.

I used a coupon and got it for 59.99...it works awesome...atleast my girl likes it.

If she complaints , ill intall it in my civic and get her the sensors.

Pretty easy set up. I think if the new navi comes out . nav tv will probably make a harness that works well with this.

Not a bad price, but I've always found that those 'add-on' backup cameras look VERY obvious and the mountable LCD monitor is more of intrusive than helpful.

You'd be better off having a good mechanical install a camera that sits flush with the trunk/license plate and have it wired into your existing dashboard display.
Well, for the price......

I do not have a navi or a radio with one so .....If i do get one then i would look for a wireless adpter.....i would hate to run wires to the front if not needed.

BTW: i did hide the small monitor and it does not get in the way. Remember that you only use it to see below the rear window since you still have to look back.

it does not look that bad really.

The quality its good ..I have yet to see it work at night (no my car) but my girls says that its ok. Once istalled i made sure she got in the car and got used to the camera (distance on objects)

Remember that you will only use it for referance since you still have to look back.

The instal looks clean since i hid everything behind the cargo gate trim on the rear door. The monitor will be intalled using double sided tape. I have yet to set it to a specific place since i have not had time.

I wonder if you guys with the navs could add a 2.4 wireless adpter and get reception from the camera.

Have a 2010 SL, had the dealer install the camera for the 360 in it. it SHOULD be the same as older models, you can ask... (in fact, shocked someone hasn't tried this yet.. :P

More info from my orig. post about it which can be found here:
aftermarket-backup-camera-installation- ... 57521.html
The camera is listed on the accessories page here:
http://www.nissanusa.com/rogue/accessories.html
(Just hit "Show All" at the top, and look for the "In-mirror Rear View Monitor")
It has a list price of $525, but I had it included at time of purchase of my new 2010 Rogue for 650$ (installed).
Note: It's paid for, but currently on back order. Once they have it, I'll schedule an appt. with service to have it done.

Instructions for SELF install (looks really rough tho) can be found here:
http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/TSB/TSB_ ... tsbType=AI
(you may need to register for a login (?), then go to Rogue -> 2010 -> EL:Electrical -> EL: In-mirror RearView Monitor_Rogue_999Q6 VV000 )
It's in PDF format.
Hope this was helpful
