I know this may sound retarded, but I am about to buy either one of these tial external wastegates. I was wondering is there any real difference in these wastegates besides the size?

If there is a substantial price difference, I'd buy the cheapest one. If there is not a substantial (>10 dollars in my world) price difference then I would just buy the 38. They are so close to identical though, I dont think anyone can tell the difference in driveability between them.

I believe the 38mm is a newer design built to replace the 35mm...but as Nathan said, if the 35mm is a good bit cheaper go with it. You won't be disappointed.

cool, i can get the 35mm one for about 70 bucks cheaper than the 38mm.

Oh yeah I was also wondering do yall know where I can find a downpipe for the external wastegate if I wanted to relocate it to the turbo downpipe or would I have to get an exhaust shop to fabricate one for me?

yeah 38 is the replacement for the 35, but they both use the same flange so dont really worry about it. Also keep in mind that the groupbuycenter is having a deal on the 38s right now- $210 shipped: that might change your mind.

As far as exaust gasses from the wastegate, I was planning on having something fabbed up at a good shop, but there ARE turbo elbows out there for certain manis and whatnot if you fan find em.
