hey everyone. i am thinking about getting a 350z, but i cant choose between it or an s2000. at first i thought it would be a no thought decision, but after driving both, i cant decide. i am still researching both cars, and if anybody has any opinions or input, i would appreciate it. thanks.

well, everybody around here is gonna say 350Z just cuz this is a nissan forum. basically, the 350Z is more of a touring car than a S2000. so if you want more of a balls-out sports car, the honda would probably be the choice, or if you want a balls-out sports car with some civility, get the Z.

p.s. its not 350zx, its 350z, just a little nit-pick.

The 350Z has more torque and in Coupe form likely a stiffer body than the convertible-only S2000.

More engine.I do think it looks better but thats subjective.

One thing about the 350Z is you can taylor the trim level ton your tastes the S2000 doesnt have as many trim levels.

If you are on a Budget chose the Base starts at 26.5 or so.If medium to hi equipemtn level w/o too much money is what you like take an Enthusiast $28.5kThen the touring (I think starts around 32 I think and adds things like leather and heated mirrors setas etc.

Then the Track with its own set of goodies (Brembos n stuff) for a Bit more

My 4 month oldDaytona Blue Z <always: still turns head where ever I go

im not sure yet, still researching both, but thanks for your opinions. i kinda liked the feel for the s2000 better, it felt tighter to me, i guess because everythign was so much closer than in the 350z (thanks for that tidbit). but both of them were fun as hell to drive. has anyone had any problems with the 350z's?

Some Z's have a rougher idle that they should. usually a aftermarket grunding kit fixes this ( I dont have mine on car yet tho)

Nearly all 03's and some 04's have a faster than acceptable rate of wear on the front tires ( "feathering")

No common problems other than that ( just put 550 miles on my Z today, have 10,500 miles on it since September 20th)
