I am in the middle of a VQ swap on a S14. I have a VQ out of a 03 G35. I recently bought a flywheel, pressure plate and clutch out of a 09 370Z. I can see that the timing ring (cas ring?) is different on the two flywheels. I have been told by a source I would trust that lining up the flywheel to the crank affects the timing of the engine so it has to be correct. I was also told that the 370Z flywheel is 180 degrees out from the early 350z/G35 flywheel. So far I haven't figured out how to line up the stock 350Z flywheel (the engine was out of an automatic G35) or the 370z flywheel. I am asking for help with how to align the flywheels to the crank and in figuring out if I can use the 370Z flywheel at all. Any help would be appreciated. John.
P.S. I will be using an AEM ECU for engine manaement.
