Hi everyone,Just joined your club as bought a 350Z Auto 2003 a couple of weeks ago.Love the car but have a proble and would like your help. When I boot the car fast the inside of the car warms up fast and within 30 seconds all the windows mist up , and no cool air can be got out of the A/C ventilation system. If I stop the car and switch off the engine for 1 minuate the A/C system returns to normal. This is very dangerous on chilly days as the car cannot be driven due to no visability.Has anyone heard of this and can you guys offer me any advice or a cure please. Thanks

Hi Guy's,I was told out of all the Nissan or 350Z sites this one had the most glued up people on and you guys would know the answer to my problem.

Does no one have the answer to fix my window misting problem or am I the only person who has suffered from this problem????

^ Don't listen to him.

You might have a leak in the heater core.

Thanks for the reply.Don't appear to be lossing any fluid and the A/C system was regassed 3 days ago.

It only happens when I put "the petal to the metal hard" the rest of the time no problems. When it happens it mists up the windows within seconds

Well let's see your infinite wisdom about this subject Richie.....

I'm gonna have to agree with snwbrdr, check your heater core. The same thing happened to my friend and his '78 L82. Same symptoms as you described. If you must use the car in cold conditions, try cracking the window open just a bit, enough to let some air in to circulate in your cabin until you find a fix.

Now, when you select the windshield defrost on your climate control cluster, where does the air come out of? It should be coming out from the front of your dash (right under the windshield).

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. The A/C system works quite normally without any problems until I acceralate hard and then the whole cabin heats up and all the windows mist up within 20 seconds after the sprint was first started. If I then turn the temp dial down to cold this has no effect.Open the windows fully will not clear the windows unless I switch the A/C system off and then it will clear. If I then switch the car engine off for for about 20-30 seconds and restart the car the problem has gone and the A/C system is back to normal. On the odd occasion I have also noticed that the direction control does not alter the direction of the air flow.

I think it's an electrical problem. Check the wiring.

Aww my post was deleted....

On another note, I agree that you could have a leak somewhere. Did it do this before you had the A/C charged?

Hi,Yes it did mist up the windows before I had the A/C recharged, I hope that recharging the system would have sorted out the problem but alas

My only idea now would be to take it to the dealership and have them diagnose the problem.
