I don't know if this will work for everyone but it did for me. The window problem I had was the one where the window rolls all the way up (on the auto-roll-up feature) but then it rolled half way down when it got to the top. Also, the window would not move when the door opened and shut. The dealer told me on the phone to hold the window roll-up button all the way up (like I was rolling the window up) and hold it at the top for 10-15 seconds and it fixed the problem! I'm not very good at explaining things very well but I thought I should put this up here because I thought this would be helpful.

Thanks to this "glitch" from Nissan thought I rolled up my window, went to work, came out and my window was down and of course we had some rain... now my window motor is shot.

thats a hell of a color scheme

That window problem is nasty, i just had mine fixed a few weeks ago. Whenever i was mindlessly leaving my car i would auto-roll it up and not realize the glass bounced back down until i came back to my car.

Good tip. I know someone local that was doing this for awhile until he finally decided to put a new motor in. The only thing I wondering is if the added stress of keeping the switch activated is going to cause even further wear on the window motor.

mf, mine just started doing this crap toward the end of winter. soup, you know if yours was fixed with the reset or a new motor? wondering how successful & long lived a fix the reset is.

doesnt sound real tough to do.

It was definitely a new motor replacement.

Yeah. This would certainly help all those who own 350Z sport, if not now, it can surely help anyone down the line. Thanks for sharing your experience.

My car has this same problem I have tried the reset procedure and it doesn't fix the problem, you need to replace the motor to fix it for good. The different resets will only fix it for a little awhile.

I've had a 2003 and 2005 350Z with the same issue, and now a 2007 that has had the problem for 5 years. I keep bringing it back to the dealer, they've replaced the motor and reset it over and over. It corrects the problem for a few months, then it starts acting up again. They told me that the service bulletin says the cause is either loss of power, or putting the window down partially will cause it to loose it's memory, and start going down half way when you put it up with the auto-up switch. But this only seems to happen to the passenger side window. It's back at the dealer again today!

i have an 08 350z, i have replaced a motor on both sides, the motors were dead!, the reset procedure works better when you actually use the reset button on the inside of the door panel.
