Ok I'm finally going to change it after 2 months of ****tyness of having to open and close doors just to close the window. Is $275 installed a good deal for the window motor? Some guy is installing it for me at some performance shop.

What do you mean you have to open close your door to shut the window. You might just need the limits reset. It's a farelly common problem with the Z's.

Yeah...try this before you go and pay for something you don't need:

1. Turn your car key to the ON position and press and hold the button to move your window all the way down and when it reaches the bottom hold for 2-3 seconds. Then press up and hold it as it goes up and then when it seals hold it for 5-6 seconds. If that does not work

2. Remove your door trim panel and where the motor is located there should be a small rubber nipple/button poking out. Roll your window all the way down and hold the button for 3-5 secs. Then roll your window all the way up and while holding the Window up button press and hold the nipple/button for 3-5 seconds.

Hopefully this works because both these techniques have worked when I have fixed Altimas, Maximas, 350Z'z, Versa's and Sentra's and Murano's

Thanks for the help but I'm not very good in working on cars. How do I remove the door panel? Any specific tools?

There are a few screws (fillips head)..... The one you won't see, behind the door handle (on the inside) there is a black plastic covering. Remove the covering, it should pop off easily, and there is the hidden screw. The panel should pop off, you may have to pry it with something (try something soft plastic or teflon) but be sure not to use to much force. If the door panel feels like its starting to bend severally then you have a screw that you missed. Good luck, and let us know if it works.
