Does anyone know if the engines are the same on 350Z and G35? Would parts be interchangable? Last but not least...what is an ECU?

Thanks in advance,[email protected]

The intake. That's the only difference. Seriously.

My friend has a G35C and he knows a lot of 350Z people. He's also friend with a few guys at Technosquare who say the G intake is much more restrictive than the Z one and swapping the intake arm should yield some results. The ECUs should be basically identical, since the Technsoquare reflash carries over with no problem.

I was told from an extremely repuatable source (that actually put a bunch of intakes on a flowbench for tentative measurements) that the G35C airbox flows better than the 350Z box, but in the 350Z, the tube from the box to plenum is better flowing.

So basically a G35 airbox and 350Z intake elbow would be the most ideal combination.

Cold air intakes on 350Z/G35Cs confuse the intake temperature probe. There's a long discussion on it at my350.com. Sticking a filter on the elbow just results in a good amount of engine bay air going into the engine. The stock airboxes are just fine. Maybe a velocity stack.

generally speaking the pop charger doesnt fare well against a properly designed cai, but on the 350z it had the highest output of the comparison. i dont remember who else was in it. never done myself so i cant validate it.
