Hey, so I've been interested in buying a 240sx. I found a 95 for sale, only problem is it's auto. Then, I also found a transmission for a 2001 350z. Anyone know if I could switch in a transmission from the 350z for the swap? Thanks.

just swap the 240sx transmission. it will line up and all the parts you need are easy to get. http://vqswap.com/_wsn/page3.html. see how the housing is to long you will need to shorten it like what they have done but i dont even think that the z33 trany' bolts will line up with the ka24ed bolts

wtf are you saying? deh3k?

it won't line up magically.

it can be done but you need an adapter plate, and a drive shaft. you will also need some sort of shift linkage like in the weld s14 car

even if you use the 6speed from a vq40 from a truck you will still would not fit correctly. honestly fitting the 5at transmission would be a easier task.
