hey everyone, i currently have the 300zx 30mm front calipers and rotors on my s13, im looking to do the 350z track rotor conversion for my current set up, has any one here done this conversion? how do you like it? i have the brackets to move the calipers out so all i need are the rotors, my friends dad can redill the rotors via his machine shop. im just wondering has any one has experience with this setup? hopefully positive!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to see this, as well. I've been eyeballing the 350z track rotors for my front to compensate for the upgrade to wider r-comp tires.

Well, I went directly to the 350z rotors, so don't know the difference, but I like it a lot.

Well, they are not Rotas.

Here's the part numbers for the Nismo wheels. I have part # for the 16 inches too, but you don't want them. 350z rotors need at least 17 inch wheels.

I actually took mine off yesterday and put the standard 300zx rotors on. I was having issues where the inner pads was rubbing more. I think it was the brand of conversion brackets.

The think I dont like about it is since the Z32 calipers and pads are designed for the z32 rotor they dont fully fit the Z33 rotor. At the top corners the pad surface actually doesn't make contact with the rotor.

I am going to put them back on once I order a new set of brackets. I have the R1 wurks brackets and they suck. Helicoil ripped out, machining is off.

Try JSK brackets. I was impressed by their quality. They fit perfect.

Just do some search on these and you have ballpark figure.

30mm calipersRotorsBrackets Brake linesPads

15mm Ichiba spacers with 60mm Nismo studs. Wheels clear calipers without the spacers though. They don't vibrate at high speed, so quality is very good.

so are the 350z track rotors 30mm wide or 26mm wide?

i got the adapter brackets for free so the only thing ill have into the entire brake set up would be are the rotors, mabey 150-200 tops?

Hmmm, this option looked okay until I saw that part of the pad is off the rotor. No-go for track use. Oh well... the 13 inch wilwood front kit at $1300 shall suffice.

Yeah you actually loose pad surface area which is less effective. But at the sae time you get more cooling surface space. Its a lose win case.

Yeah mine were bad form the get go. The one helicoil was beat up right out the box. The when checking the measurements its was off a few 1000ths from where it should be causing the one caliper to sit further out and pressing the pad into the rotor.

It was too the point where when the wheels was torques and the vehicle jacked up you could not free spin the front right wheel.

I took the brackets off, put 300zx rotors upfront and the issue is gone.

I am going to put the 350 track rotors back on after I replace the brackets with another brand.

No problems at all with brakes and spacers. I'm a very picky guy and I have no complaints at all. I wish I had experience with z32 rotors and moved on to 350z rotors, so I can tell the difference.

30mm aluminum or iron calipers and 17 inch wheels are REQUIRED.

Where is RB20DETTod? I haven't seen him forever. I've wanted to have it ever since I saw his car. He has SPL brackets.
