i am putting an autometer tach in a 07 350z. i've got the tach adapter but i cant find the tach wire. i was told to trace one of the 6 white wires from the coil to where they all come togather as one, but thats kinda hard to trace. a pin# from the bcm would be great or if anyone's put one on any help would be great.

I would tap into one of the Coil Pack wires located at the ECU. The ECU on the 350z is located behind the dash area where a glove box "should" be on your car, in front of the legs of the right side passenger. The ECU will have 2 plugs going into it. The one plug has a "swing" mechanism that when released and swung open, will release that plug. The other plug is held in with a "push" lock. When you pull the lock towards you, it will release the plug from the ECU. Go into your engine bay and examine the wire colors of the coil packs. They are a three wire design. Usually one black, one red, and a different colored one. Take note on those different colored ones and find them at the ECU plugs. To make sure you have the right wires, use a multi-meter and switch it to continuity. Touch the one lead to the coil pack wire(s) and touch the other lead at the wire you think is the coil pack wire at the ECU. If it beeps, then you found the coil pack wire.
