I have a few questions about this suspension setup... I have searched for the answers but no one seems to have it. I am considering buying the Tein Street Basis and I have a few doubts about it. So here are the questions:
1. How will this affect my car's handling?
I plan on driving on the street and the occasional track day... maybe once a year.

2. What ride height is good for this?
I plan on setting this to stock height because my area has a ton of speed bumps and my favorite mountain road has quite a few dips. I hear that this setup has a recommend ride height from tein. What would happen If I don't go by the recommend setting?

3. What is purpose of this set up? Is it for aesthetics, performance, or whatever?
I want to make my Z handle a little better. I'm not trying to make it look better, I just want to go round a corner with a bit more confidence :woot: .

4. What are your thoughts on the equal spring rates of 504 lb front and rear?
Will it change my handling dynamics to the point where It no longer feels like a Z?

5. Are there any alternatives for this price range? I'm open to shock and damper options.

Oh btw I have a 2006 350z with the revised suspension. Are my springs good or just ok? I'm thinking about just changing my worn out shocks if that's the case.

If you need more information about my car please ask.

Thanks to all!!

The Basis are an entry level setup with only height adjustment, no dampening. With any coilover setup, you will have a ~min drop, which means you will not be able to get the car back to exact OEM ride height.

Ride Height Adj Range (F): -0.9~-2.8in (-24~-70mm)
Uppermount: OEM Uppermount
Spring Rate (R): 504lbs/in (9kgf/mm)
Spring Rate (F): 504lbs/in (9kgf/mm)
Ride Height Adj Range (R): -0.7~-2.4in (-17~-60mm)

A 1- 1.5" drop on the Z is a good start point. The next setup comparable would be BC Racing which have dampening adjustments. Those spring rates will keep the creature comforts of your car but it will be a stiffer ride of course, but if the dampers aren't valved properly, that will be the cause of most issues.

You want a high end setup of coilovers, then you are stepping up to KW or Bilstein. You could run good shock(koni or Tokico) with lowering springs, but you will be at the same price point as the coilovers with no height adjustment.

Either way, let me know what you are interested in and I will get you some discounted prices.

Sorry this might be, frankly, very late but any ideas where I can find a good deal on some coilovers? I was thinking of "stepping up to KW" but I can't seem to find a good deal the prices seem to fixed at almost every website I see. Some website seem a bit shady as well.
The products I'm interested in:
KW V1
BC Br coilover
Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC
Nismo s-tune
eibach pro street
tein basis

I'm a bit concerned about BC racing though. Many people have had shock bodies break and problems with noise. I know that it is less of a problem with the 350z's versions but that kinda puts me off. I also see problems with rust according to many of the forums. Most of the problems have to do with quality. Dampers seem like they are "sub par" according to people I have asked. The Idea of all that adjustment is keeping them on my list though. If you could shed some light on this, it would be great.

We carry all those items except the NISMO S-Tune suspension. We have run the BC coils on our project G35 for a few years without any issues or noises. The G35 uses the same kit as the 350z. Keep in mind KW V1 is the beginning of the higher end coils with the V3's being top dollar.
