I have a base 05 without an lsd. I just picked up the output shafts and a stock LSD from an 06... do I need any special tools or extra shims to make this fit in my stock pumpkin? I was planning to get a new gasket but do I need any additional parts from nissan?

Thank you for your help !chris

I take it, the LSD you got came without the pumpkin. If so, I'd highly recommend taking it to someone who specializes in transmissions/gears to install. Backlash and contact pattern are critical. Get them wrong and it can cause anything from increased gear noise, accelerated wear to total failure. Even driving it for a short period of time can cause permanent irreversible damage to the gears. You would need a good dial indicator as well. Might be cheaper to have it done professionally than to buy a good dial indicator.

I agree. I would also take it to someone who specializes in that.
