Hey, hoping someone can help me out or has experienced something similar.

I have a 2004 350Z touring roadster with the factory 6 disc Bose stereo.

For the past few months, while driving, occasionally all of my speakers besides the front passanger will cut out. Usually this happens during hitting a bump or hard breaking/accelerating, but also can happen without those. I can also hit bumps and not have the problem either, it is very unpredictable.

What makes this even more weird/frustrating is that it only happens when I am playing a CD. I do not have the problem when I am listening to the radio. The CD is not skipping, so I really don't know why playing the CD or radio would make a difference.

I pulled off the dash and pulled out the stereo to make sure everything looked ok and it appeared fine.

Anyone have any advice/suggestions/experience? thanks!

sounds more like a speaker problem. It may just be coincidence that it happens while you play a CD.....

Historically, this problem has been an issue with the factory headunit. The bose in my Maxima would do the same thing while play CD's and I would give it a good smack and it would work again.
