Ok I just got my Bose 6 cd changer replace with the new Pioneer DEH-500ub and the ub and kept the bose speakers/subs. I got the bose harness also to blend in with the head unit but my sound system sounds so plain now but it could play Mp3s and that's the good thing. The sound system is too crystal clear on the vocals and not a single bass I hear. What would be the best way to get some better sounding system along with clear vocals. Should I change the bose speakers/subs or just the subs and add a 2 channel amp?

Is the subwoofer putting out any sound. I used a PAC ROEM-NIS2 to interface my radio. The sub works very well. If you're not getting any bass, the speaker wiring, Pioneer output to BOSE adapter may be reversed.

It does sound like a phase issue (positive and negative speaker wires swapped). Some people do this for staging/imaging, but in a lot of instances the bass disappears. When I swapped out my Bose hu in my maxima wiht my Pioneer hu, my Bose subwoofer actually hit harder (so much it made my rear parcel shelf rattle and flop around). Everything sounded much better. I agree with carbon in that you need to swap some +/- wires around.

Even if you think it's right you won't hurt anything to switch the positive and negative wires. Then listen to each speaker by using the fader and balance to see if it sounds right.

An easy way to check for reversed polarity, is to listen to the radio. Go to the balance function. Fade to the front than balance to the right, If the bass comes back you have a phase problem. When you go back to center the bass will dissappear. Try the same with the rear stage. The same would happen when balancing to the left.
